December 9 | Welcome to Vermont!

Arrive today at Burlington International Airport, where you’ll receive a warm greeting from your Universal Travel Representative. Board your luxury motorcoach and transfer to the charming Essex Resort & Spa in   Essex Junction for a cozy two-night stay. After settling in, gather for a festive welcome dinner featuring holiday music and joyful caroling.

December 10| Stowe Village Shopping & a Magical Day at the Trapp Family Lodge

Following a hearty breakfast, embark on a delightful day filled with surprises and seasonal cheer. Your first stop is the picturesque village of Stowe, where you’ll  enjoy browsing  local shops, including the beloved Stowe Mercantile. Next, travel to the iconic Trapp Family Lodge, owned by the descendants of the famous von Trapp family. Enjoy an Austrian-inspired lunch in the main lodge, followed by an engaging History Talk exploring the true story behind The Sound of Music and how the family came to settle in Vermont. View a      special documentary about Maria’s final trip to Salzburg – and if you’re lucky, meet a family member who may share personal memories of life with Maria. Later, participate in a private Christmas ornament-making workshop and enjoy a maple tour and tasting experience. The magical day concludes with an early dinner at the Trapp Bierhall.

December 11 | Christmastime in Quebec City

After breakfast, bid farewell to Vermont and travel north to Québec City for a memorable three-night stay. Upon arrival, you’ll be swept up in the charm of a true winter wonderland. Twinkling lights reflect off cobblestone streets, the air is filled with the scent of roasting chestnuts and mulled wine, and festive storefronts bring the historic Old City to life. Check in at the elegant Hotel Clarendon, located in the heart of Old Québec. Spend the evening soaking in the enchantment of the city, then gather for a group dinner.

December 12 | Copper Museum, Basilica, Montmorency Falls & Evening at the German Christmas Markets

Start the day with breakfast before meeting your local guide for a scenic excursion along the Saint Lawrence River. Begin at the Albert Gilles Copper Museum, where you’ll learn about the intricate repoussé technique and even create your own copper artwork. Enjoy tea, coffee, and traditional Canelé cakes. Then visit the stunning Saint Anne de Beaupré Basilica, North America’s second oldest pilgrimage site, renowned for its stained glass, mosaics, and rich history. Enjoy a midday lunch at the Goéliche Hotel on Île d’Orléans, followed by a stop at breathtaking Montmorency Falls. Return to Québec City to experience the magic of the German Christmas Market—where wooden stalls, twinkling lights, and the delicious aroma of Bratwurst and Glühwein create a  festive European ambiance.

December 13 | City Tour, Château Frontenac Experience & Christmas Market Leisure

This morning after breakfast, meet your local Tour Guide for a tour of Québec City, the only fortified city in North America north of Mexico. Discover beautiful    cityscapes and see how Québec’s defenses developed   under the French and English regimes. Cannons,      loopholes, the Esplanade Powder Magazine, a star-shaped Citadel, Artillery Park, and fortresses are all part of this outstanding tour. Then experience castle life on your guided tour of the iconic Château Frontenac hotel, found on one of the most beautiful sites in Québec City. Discover the famous characters and historical events that shaped the identity of the Fairmont Château Frontenac over the years, as well as its architectural  development and rejuvenation process undergone in   recent years. Enjoy a planned luncheon at the Château, followed by more time to explore the magical German Christmas Market. Sip on mulled wine, browse artisan stalls, and take in the festive atmosphere. Return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

December 14 | Montreal, Notre-Dame Basilica & Traditional Sugar Shack Farewell

After breakfast, check out and travel to Montreal for a visit to the spectacular Notre-Dame Basilica, famed for its Gothic Revival architecture and stunning interiors. In the afternoon, celebrate the season at Sucrerie de la Montagne, an authentic Québecois Sugar Shack. Arrive by horse-drawn sleigh or wagon and enjoy a traditional holiday feast accompanied by lively folk music and dancing – a true taste of Québec heritage.

December 15 | Depart for home

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport for your journey home—your heart full of magical memories from your Vermont Country Christmas adventure.                      (B)
