Sep 6 | London. This morning arrive at the London Heathrow airport. You will be met and assisted by your tour director with your transfer to the hotel for a comfortable two-night stay.

Sep 7 | London – Leisure morning – City Tour – Dinner. The morning is yours to enjoy London at your leisure! You may want to shop at Harrods for a stylish new outfit to wear on your upcoming cruise, or take a leisurely stroll at Hype Park, the largest of the four Royal Parks in London. This afternoon, depart for a panoramic city tour of London. See iconic landmarks such at Piccadilly Square, Big Ben, the London Tower, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and more. This evening enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant, before returning to your hotel.

Sep 8 | London – Stonehenge – Southampton. After breakfast and checking out of your hotel this morning, journey to the mysterious megaliths of Stonehenge! This extraordinary 4,500-year-old marvel of human endeavors rises from an ancient landscape, but there’s so much more at Stonehenge than the awe-inspiring Stone Circle. Discover on your self-guided audio tour how the Stonehenge builders lived and worked at the permanent exhibition. Ask the knowledgeable staff and volunteers your burning questions about the stones, then grab a snack from the café to enjoy with the best view in the world! From here you travel to Southampton and embark onto the beautiful Azamara Journey, your home for the next 7-nights! Your ship sets sail at 5pm.
Sep 9 |St. Peter Port, Guernsey Channel Islands. Experience the best of England and France in Guernsey. On today’s optional excursion, take in postcard-worthy views of brightly colored houses, idyllic gardens, and cliffside paths from St. Peter Port. When the sightseeing is over, stop at one of the many bistros for an unforgettable meal. Then, spend some time shopping in the up-and-coming boutiques for the perfect souvenir.

Sep 11 & 12 | Two Full Days in Bordeaux, France. Bordeaux’s fortunes have long been tied to viticulture. Sep 13 | St. Jean de Luz, France. Escape to St. Jean de Luz, one of the most stunning beach retreats in France. Elsewhere, you’ll find pedestrian areas with many delightful shops and cafes to explore.

Sep 14 | Bilboa (San Sebastian), Spain. Home to a cultural and architectural renaissance, Bilbao’s factories and ports have been transformed into spectacular urban projects. The ultra-modern Guggenheim Museum is a definite standout, and this gem in Basque country is brimming with fine wines, exceptional cuisine, and a vibrant spirit.

Sep 15 | Gijón, Spain. Gijón is the apple of the Bay of Biscay’s eye, and speaking of the fruit, what wine is to Rioja, cider is to Gijón and the surrounding region. Follow the Cider Trail on an optional guided tour to some of the city’s best cider houses and restaurants, or browse the Crafts Market, and be sure to try a local pastry. Gijón has the largest number of bakeries per capita in all of Spain.

Sep 16 | La Coruna, Spain. La Coruna is a city shaped by the sea. You can see this influence in the Roman Tower of Hercules, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lighthouse marks one end of the spectacular Paseo Marítimo promenade, one of the longest in Europe. Take a stroll to see other highlights like the Marina, Castelo de San Antón, the Millennium Monument, and the most popular beaches – Orzán and Riazor.

Sep 17 | Leixões (Porto), Portugal. At the mouth of the Rio Douro lies the city of Porto, known mostly for its port wine trade. With origins dating back to the 5th Century, there is plenty to see in this town. Stroll the Ribeira neighborhood along the river, explore the Cathedral area, or tour the port lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river. Savoring a taste of tawny port, tripe, and seafood while here is highly recommended.

Sep 18 | Lisbon. One of the oldest cities in the world, Lisbon is rich in architecture and criss-crossed by monument-studded grand boulevards. Today embark on an included half-day panoramic tour of Lisbon. The City of Seven Hills has layers of history dating to occupation by the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Visigoths and the Moors. Visit the heart of the city, Rossio Square, then spend some time in Alfama, the Old Quarter. See the Lisbon Cathedral, with history dating back to the 12th century, and admire views of St. George’s Castle, a Moorish fortification, while catching a stunning panorama over the city from the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte lookout. You will have free time for lunch and shopping before you return to the ship.
